Yukon Women Expeditions was inspired, created, and designed by women for women. This doesn’t mean you can’t bring your husband and children; they’re welcome on any family adventure you would like to experience! We wanted to focus on the empowerment of all women from all walks of life and skill levels.
Options range from a leisurely float down one of our many beautiful rivers to a specialized guided program in hard skill development such as white water paddling, scree scrambling, creek crossings and safe backcountry travel. Both will give you the knowledge and confidence in planning, packing for and cooking in the backcountry.
YWE guides are highly trained and experienced outdoors women with varied skill sets, keeping client safety the highest priority. All are trained to the highest industry standard in Wilderness Medicine, Outdoor Education, Environmental Science, Herbology, Risk Management, Swift Water Rescue, Search and Rescue and much more.
We compliment our trips by including plant id, edible and medicinal plants, as well as organic meals, accommodations and transportation while with YWE. Group trips have wellness day options which make a wonderful addition to any package we offer.
The Yukon Territory is by far one of the most beautiful and diverse areas on the globe, offering fantastic canoeing and water travel options, fabulous, truly wild, hiking and backpacking, wildlife viewing, all in a rich cultural and historic setting.
